Stakeholder meetings
In the course of the Preparatory Study, two stakeholder meetings will be organised. In addition, notifications shall be sent out, e.g., when reports are uploaded to the online platform or when online consultations are held. Stakeholders who are registered on this website will receive an email invitation for the meetings and notifications of other events. Any stakeholder meeting is subject to confirmation of room availability at the European Commission. Please do not make your travel arrangement before receiving the final agenda about 3 weeks prior to the meeting.
Date, location and information on upcoming stakeholder meetings will be shared here.
Online consultations
A stakeholder survey has been launched (deadline originally set for 29 June 2026, extended to 13 July 2026) to collect data and information to support further analysis in the ESPR Preparatory Study on Furniture. The preparatory study follows the Methodology for Ecodesign of Energy-related Products (MEErP), which provides a structured framework based on seven tasks and has recently been expanded to include methodologies for non-energy-related products. This stakeholder consultation aims to inform Tasks 1–4 of the MEErP by collecting feedback and data on:
- Scope of the product group
- Market structure
- User behaviour
- Technical features and life cycle of the product group
The stakeholder questionnaire can be accessed here: Questionnaire.
Please note that not all questions are applicable to all stakeholders. Stakeholders are invited to fill out and submit only those sections which are relevant.
Information collected through this consultation will be of great importance to quantify the impacts of any implementing legislation measures on furniture (if any). Please be aware that any information provided may be cited in the final report, but anonymised (e.g. according to stakeholders). Market data will not be reproduced in a way that can be traced back to individual manufacturers (i.e. aggregated).
